The Renault 5, forerunner of the Renault Clio, was a bestseller, but it was its sportier versions that generated the most expectation, especially the GT Turbo, which had a differentiated image and a specific tuning that greatly changed its driving dynamics.

The Supercinco is based on the Renault 9/11 chassis, so it has a larger interior than its predecessor.
