AFC North preview: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers

The wait is over and the NFL season is upon us!
The 100th season of the league begins on Thursday, September 5 when the Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers, live on Sky Sports.
Until then, it is time to check 2019’s contenders.
We’re previewing all eight branches, and here it is possible to find our perspectives on the AFC North and cast your vote who you think will win below…
Head coach: Mike Tomlin
Key man: Ben Roethlisberger has become the heart and soul of the franchise As he had been nominated in 2004. Despite getting on old and projecting the most interceptions in the NFL last season (16), the 37-year-old remains among the best quarterbacks in the group.
Roethlisberger has lost his target for the last six seasons – Antonio Brown – but JuJu Smith-Schuster’s emergence will help him . Their partnership could grow into one of the most dangerous in the league.
Improvements: The marquee moves this offseason in Pittsburgh were departures. Brown was traded to Oakland, while Le’Veon Bell declared to the New York Jets.
This season, the Steelers drafted well. Linebacker Devin Bush complete, who is immediately one of the favourites to win Defensive Rookie of the Year was picked by them. On crime, fast receiver Diontae Johnson and running back Benny Snell will lead.
Last season: They missed the playoffs because 2013 for the first time .
The Steelers won seven of their first 10 games to get to 7-2-1, but playoff hopes were dashed when they dropped four of the next five. If Baltimore won, eliminating the Steelers their fate had been sealed in Week 17.
Prospects: Smith-Schuster and Roethlisberger may take their relationship to a new level this year, although the line enables James Conner to thrive in the running and passing game and is just one of the best from the league.
Defensively, the Steelers seem to have improved this offseason from the draft with the acquisition of Bush and are solid. They’ll be hoping for a quick return to the postseason.
Prediction: 1st (11-5)
Head coach: John Harbaugh
Key man: when Lamar Jackson began The Ravens went 6-1 last year. When he wants to go back to the postseason as teams now understand what to expect when coming up from him, but the 22-year-old have to improve in the passing game. He just threw for six touchdowns and 1,201 yards last season, yet hurried for five touchdowns and 695 yards.
This crime can be deadly if Jackson can locate the perfect combination between both types of assault. But with the amount Jackson has to learn how to guard himself.
Improvements: Running Back Mark Ingram was introduced in on a three-year, $15m price and is essentially a much bigger and better version of Alex Collins. Keep an eye on runner Justice Hill supporting him, who amazed in preseason. On protection, six-time Pro Bowler Earl Thomas has been the significant addition when he signed up a contract at free service.
The Ravens lacked broad receiver production last season but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore… Rookies Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin will both provide a much-needed speed out.
Season: The benching of starting quarterback Joe Flacco following a Week Six loss was a boon. They went from an abysmal record that was 4-5 to producing the playoffs taking the league by storm and finish the year 10-6.
Unfortunately, their playoff encounter didn’t last long as the Los Angeles Chargers beat in the Wild Card round them.
Prospects: they’re certainly on the cusp, Though the Ravens are not among the large AFC powerhouses. They then have a likelihood of winning the division if Jackson is able to create more through the air. The developments of offensive weapons will merely improve the young QB.
The shield will be powerful again and with the accession of Thomasthe secondary must return for their turnover possible when they led the league.
Prediction: 2nd (9-7)
Head trainer: Freddie Kitchens
Key man: Despite being pipped last year by Saquon Barkley,” Baker Mayfield is among the young quarterbacks in the NFL. The 24-year-old broke the record for most touchdown passes thrown by a rookie (27).
His offense is piled – such as Odell Beckham Jr,” Jarvis Landry and Nick Chubb – if he is unable to improve on his stats as a newcomer, a lot of questions will likely be requested.
Big improvements the Browns obtained Beckham Jr in a blockbuster trade. Olivier Vernon also made the trip in a separate deal.
2017 Pro Bowl running back Kareem Hunt was added to the roster following his release. That the 24-year-old is frozen for the first eight games of the season due to breaking up the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
Year: At the two preceding seasons, the Browns had an abysmal 1-31 record. By Week Five last year, they’d already won two games. But a string of four losses in a row saw Gregg Williams put in charge along with Hue Jackson fired.
Williams came close to directing the Browns to their first .500 year since 2007, but they fell just short at 7-8-1.
Prospects: There’s been a whole lot of hype around the Browns due to the number of big names they have brought in on crime, but time may be taken by the group .
The assault is full of stars if he returns from suspension and the registering of Hunt can help massively down the stretch. Denzel Ward along with myles Garrett are defensive claws, but work is needed by the remaining part of the unit.
At a branch that is tough, co and Mayfield must hit the ground running to hit the playoffs for the first time in 17 years.
Prediction: 3rd (9-7)
Head coach: Zac Taylor
Key man: the Bengals rely heavily on their back, Despite teams relying on their quarterback. Joe Mixon is one of the very few bright sparks with this team.
The 23-year-old had 1,464 all-purpose yards and eight touchdowns last year but has been not called to the Pro Bowl, despite leading the AFC in rushing yards.
Mixon is online for another busy period because the Bengals are lacking caliber at recipient, particularly because of A.J. Green’s harm. This team might be the worst in the NFL.
Significant additions: The Bengals decided not to bolster their ranks with celebrities during free agency. Guard John Miller could be the notable inclusion.
The 2019 NFL Draft was better compared to Cincy’s first-round pick Jonah Williams has been ruled out for the season. But they might have drafted their quarterback. He’s appeared sharp but won’t be dethroning Andy Dalton any time soon.
Season: The Bengals got off to a hot start, winning four of the first five matches. During the rest of the year, they mustered up two victories, leaving them having an abysmal 6-10 record.
Injuries played a role as during the entire year, 26 players have been placed on Injured Reserve – such as wide receiver .
Prospects: Having head coach and a roster, the Bengals are expected to battle. They’ve got an quarterback who hasn’t led them to the playoffs because 2015 and they not much depth on offense, therefore Mixon will be the choice.
The defense is not much better, either and has been shrouded with injuries. It may be another season for the Bengals.
Prediction: 4th (4-12)
